I played a load of demos this weekend. Played SOCOM on PS2. The control system sucks (for me anyway) but everything else is brilliant. It looks and sounds and plays like CS should play. Hmmm.
Also played Breed, a Halo-esque game. You take command of a team of 4 and kill the aliens on various islands. It's pretty good. You can switch between team members and they are pretty good at giving covering fire leaving you to snipe artillery gunners.
Also played Unreal2 on the PC, was OK, but was very dark and very busy and not as good as Breed. Maybe my reflexes have gone? ;-)
Next up was Northland, a Settlers-type game which was a pleasant distraction for a coupel of hours, although at the end I was no wiser than at the beginning ;-)
Finally played MotoGP2 on the PC. Fantastic game. Looks wonderful, handling feels pretty good and the replay options are fab. Watching yourself wheelie over the finishing line in first place at 160 mph feels great.
